Firstech, LLC. was started in Anchorage, Alaska in 1998. It was then that we released the Compustar SHF-2WR liquid crystal display remote for vehicle security and remote start applications.

movies The SHF-2WR had the ability to send commands to the vehicle as well as receive a signal from up to 2000 feet. The SHF-2WR was available in three different configurations: alarm, starter, and alarm and starter combination. This is the same configuration that continues to the present day.

From there we released the Compustar 2000R in 2000. This system was only available in an alarm and starter combination. Like the SHF-2WR the 2000R was a 2 way LCD display and got up to a quarter mile of range. The 2000R won the Consumer Electronics Show Innovations Award for 2001.

cipro In 2001 we released the Spread Spectrum 2WSSR, the first 2 way LCD remote to get up to 6000 feet to and from the vehicle. This system introduced a standard for all new alarm and remote starters. The 2WSSR won the Consumer Electronics Show Innovations Award in 2002. This same time we released the upgradable series that featured three controllers and the ability to use multiple remotes without much install or work.

zithromax In 2003 Firstech moved operations from Anchorage, Alaska to Seattle, Washington to grow the business to our present size. However we still maintain a research and development center in Anchorage, Perfectionist Auto Sound and Security.

In 2006 Firstech released the Compustar Pro series that again changed the game with innovative and enhanced features. In 2007 the Compustar Pro remotes won the Consumer Electronics Show Innovations Award (P2WSSR and P2W9000FMR).
